Lee Ann Anderson is currently a reporter for Fresh Take Florida, a news service at the University of Florida, a News21 fellow and an assistant editor at WUFT News, a PBS/NPR affiliate at UF.
She's a junior journalism major at the University of Florida with a concentration on investigative reporting and visual journalism.
During her time at UF, she's completed a photojournalism internship at the Innovation News Center, written for the student newspaper, The Independent Florida Alligator, and wrote scripts for WUFT-FM.
During her time at the INC, she's been able to capture pivotal moments in sports and events whilst being able to efficiently and quickly transmit photos. Through Fresh Take Florida, she's been able to cover statewide politics, higher education and more. Her participation in the program has helped her learn websites like LobbyTools and PACER, made her a an effective writer/team player and a more educated citizen. The Alligator taught her how to condense a ten-page police report into a one page brief and the importance of telling the stories of people affected by crime.
